If you are ready to hand your resignation in from your current role because you are returning to Education, then examine your contract of employment for your employment terms
including your notice period. Consider if you would be interested in working for your employer in holiday times or times when your education timetable is empty etc. Worth considering if this is a chosen career.

I am resigning from my current role of (job title) because I am returning to Education. Having looked into the course I am looking to study I feel that in the long term it will enable my career in (what is your chosen area, field, career?) and develop my skills further.
Although I am resigning from my current role I will be available during holiday times should you be interested in taking me on to do any work on a temporary basis.
Please could you would forward my final pay slip and P45 to my address (as above or detail here where you would like it sending to). I understand that my final pay will include any holiday pay that I have not taken and any monies owing from this final months work.
